Bovill Newgate, a leading global regulatory consulting firm, and Risky Women, a network dedicated to amplifying female voices in Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC), are thrilled to announce the launch of the 2024 Risky Women Writing Competition.

This exciting competition offers a platform for women in GRC to showcase their expertise, gain industry recognition, and win cash prizes.

“At Bovill Newgate, we are passionate about supporting diversity and inclusion in the GRC field,” says Rebecca Thorpe, Global Head of Regulatory Consulting at Bovill Newgate. “We are proud to sponsor this competition and provide a platform for talented women to share their insights and perspectives.”

The competition is open to both Risky Women members and non-members. Participants are invited to submit an article of 700-900 words on a GRC topic of their choosing. The goal is to promote thought leadership and foster a more inclusive GRC landscape.

Competition details and prizes

Competition dates: submissions open July 1, 2024, and close September 30, 2024.

Prizes:

  • 1st Place: $500 USD
  • 2nd Place: $300 USD
  • 3rd Place: $200 USD

Judging criteria: Articles will be evaluated by an esteemed panel of judges based on originality, understanding of the topic, accessibility, and a compelling argument.

Bonus: All entrants will receive a complimentary one-year membership to Risky Women.

Publication: Selected winning and shortlisted articles will be published on the Risky Women blog series and boosted by Bovill Newgate.
