Samee specialises in providing regulatory and compliance advice to payments and e-money firms. He has extensive experience with regulatory authorisations processes as well as FCA supervision.
Samee has over eight years’ financial services experience, including over six years of experience at the FCA, most recently as a Lead Associate at a supervision function.
Whilst at the FCA, Samee worked on the UK implementation of PSD2 and approach to open banking firms, authorisation / registrations applications of e-money and payments firms, the gateway strategy for payments and e-money firms in the temporary permissions regime, and operationalising a new and innovative function focussed on enhanced supervision of newly authorised and fast-growing firms.
Samee graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Statistics with Business.
